About us
Building execution-level intelligence for modern data pipelines.
What we believe
We believe teams shouldn't lose hours investigating what broke. Tracer exists to make production pipelines self-diagnosing. We automate root cause analysis before engineers get paged, so teams can focus on building long term fixes, not short term patches.

How we got here
Tracer was founded in 2023 by Vincent Hus (CEO) and Laura Bogaert (COO). We started in bioinformatics, where pipelines waste 30-40% of compute because telemetry is scattered across systems that don't talk to each other. We built investigation capabilities at the OS level – the only layer where all signals converge.
Then data engineers told us they had the same problem: hours correlating logs, pulling senior engineers, shipping patches under on-call pressure. Our bioinformatics background was an advantage. Scientific pipelines are some of the most complex workloads in production. If we could make those self-diagnosing, we could do it for any pipeline.

Today, Tracer is agentic alert investigation for production pipelines. When an alert fires, we investigate automatically, correlating signals, testing hypotheses in parallel, and recommending fixes before you're paged.
